Cottoni

Eucheuma Cottonii has been the leading seaweed product widely used in the carrageenan industry. Carrageenan is widely known as an emulsifier, gelling agent, thickener, protective colloid, coagulant, and crystallisation prevention in various fieldsespecially in the food, beverages and cosmetics industries.

We deliver excellent quality dried Eucheuma Cottonii from various regions in Indonesia, such as : Maluku, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), East Nusa Tenggara (NTT), South Sulawesi, and North Kalimantan. The specifications of our dried Eucheuma Cottonii are as follows:

Spinosum

Eucheuma Spinosum is a popular alternative for Eucheuma Cottonii in the carrageenan industry. Both are widely known as an emulsifier, gelling agent, thickener, protective colloid, coagulant, and crystallisation prevention in various daily products, but Spinosum yields slightly different gel characteristics from Cottoni. While Eucheuma Cottonii creates rigid and brittle gels, Eucheuma Spinosum creates soft and flexible gels.

Chips

After Cottonii and Spinosum are washed, dried under the sun and treated, they are shredded into smaller flakes, resulting in dehydrated chips. We call these chips Alkali-Treated Cottonii Chips (ATCC) and Alkali-Treated Seaweed Chips (ATSC), which are the second-stage products of Cottonii and Spinosum algae.

ATCC

Our Alkali-Treated Cottonii Chips (ATCC) are made from Eucheuma Cottonii algae, which produce strong and rigid gels. Its gel can isolate water solutions and retain them very well. Gels formed by ATCC are reactive to temperature changes and melt at high temperatures. This characteristic shows that ATCC would prove beneficial in improving texture and moisture retention.

It is important to note that our ATCC also serves as materials to be further processed into Refined or Semi-Refined Carrageenan. They are versatile and suitable for companies with wider processing lines, the ideal solution for manufacturers who independently customize their end products.

ATSC

Our Alkali-Treated Seaweed Chips (ATSC) are made from Eucheuma Spinosum algae, which produce soft and elastic gels. It works similarly to ATCC by isolating water solutions but the resulting gel is more elastic, more resilient and less brittle. Gels formed by ATSC are smooth and clear. In contrast to Cottonii-formulated chips, ATSC can withstand different temperatures without losing their gelling capacity. This characteristic shows that ATSC would prove beneficial in preserving product texture while still maintaining flexibility.

It is important to note that our ATSC also serves as materials to be further processed into Refined or Semi-Refined Carrageenan. They are versatile and suitable for companies with wider processing lines, the ideal solution for manufacturers who independently customize their end products.

Powder

After a series of purification process, the dried Cottonii and Spinosum are milled, resulting in the Refined and Semi-Refined Carrageenan. The final parameters of our powdered carrageenan are customizable depending on your needs, but we always ensure that their quality meets the industrial safety standards.

Refined Carrageenan

Refined Carrageenan (RC) are manufactured from Eucheuma Cottonii algae, which produce strong and rigid gels. The formed gels can isolate water solutions and provide excellent water retention. The formed gels are reactive to temperature changes and melt at high temperatures, suitably beneficial in improving texture and moisture retention.

Our Refined Carrageenan underwent multiple steps of refining to produce a result of satisfying purity. This high level of purity is suitable and intended for usage on products which require clean labels and consistent performance.

Semi Refined Carrageenan

Semi-Refined Carrageenan (SRC) are mainly manufactured from Eucheuma Cottonii algae, which produce strong and rigid gels. The formed gels can isolate water solutions and provide excellent water retention. Reactive to temperature changes and melt at high temperatures, SRC is suitably beneficial in improving texture and moisture retention.

Our Semi-Refined Carrageenan underwent shorter processes than their Refined Carrageenan counterparts, resulting in a product with a lower degree of purity. This condition is suitable for usage on products which do not require high levels of purity.

Meat Product Powder

Our Meat Powders are mainly manufactured from Eucheuma Cottonii algae, which produce strong and rigid gels. The formed gels can isolate water solutions and provide excellent water retention. Reactive to temperature changes and melt at high temperatures, they are suitably beneficial in improving meat texture and moisture retention.

The main use of our Meat Powder is to serve as the enhancement of meat products. They exhibit excellent viscosity, good solubility and coagulant properties. After our Meat Powder is added to meat products, through heating it will combine with water to form high-strength gel with a stable structure. This can effectively improve the water retention of meat products, enhance their elasticity and slicing performance, while also reducing production costs.
